Prehistoric Beastie #7: Trilobites
Not really a species, but an entire class of primitive arthropods that flourished for over 250 million years on the ocean floors. Hundreds of different species have been identified, ranging in size from 1 millimetre to 72 centimetres.
The image is of a member of the Cheirurus genus, chosen because of the MASSIVE FUCK-OFF SPIKES.
